You, Thank You.

While watching celebrities on television today I noted the people who seem to be the most successful are the people who are just themselves. Whether we approve of them or disapprove. Whether they are rich or poor. Well known by the world at large or just the local man in the coffee shop. When people are themselves we remember them. A great many people spend their time trying to be someone else while selfishly refusing to allow the world to meet their unique personality. Being yourself is a great gift.

Look Around

I was driving and wanted to complain about the traffic and about a dozen other things and then I found myself thinking of a group of homeless living under a bridge. What right do I have to complain? Have you ever needed something yourself but saw someone else in need and shared a little of what you had with them. It is strange how you make it. When you didn't have but a little to start with. Try it sometime. A sneaky way of being nice while the world still thinks you are a tough guy. After all only one opinion matters, and he owns everything.

Life Happens- Thank You Notes

I was thinking of a person who was defending themselves for being kind. I could not help but think of times gone by when people would lay things neatly on the trash for people who needed them . They could get help and keep their pride all at the same time. This person does not know me and will probably never read this blog but for that person and all of the others who are undercover good deed doers. Thank you. And for all who do read this writing,be grateful we still have them. We can easily find ourselves in need of a kind person someday.

A Simple Thing

I find myself making a cup of tea and singing a Karen Carpenter song. The tea is a generic brand. I am usually very particular about my brand of tea but considering there are so many other urgent things going on in the world I think it only fair that I make myself quite happy with what I have. At least for the moment. Let me see what pastry might I add to this. I will walk it off later. See, took away the guilt. Get out of the house if you can. Look out of the window if you can't. I am sure,a bird a plane a cloud of dust. Something will catch your eye maybe your sense of smell to give you a moment of happiness.

Rough day-Not so bad

Sometimes we go about our day and feel we have the worst of it. Then things happens to make us realize that we didn't get the worst of it. Maybe something on the news maybe just a smile from someone less fortunate than ourselves. If you care to place a note to say thank you perhaps they will read it who knows. It is certainly worth a try to appreciate.
